I am trying to add content in the dashboard view builder and when I go to add a block, the droplist for domains says "No Domains" and when I click on Domain Search, the droplist for "Select a Domain" says "No Domains Available". Yet, when I go into the dashboard (same user), I see my domains, I'm able to do a domain search etc. Any one have any suggestions as to what may be going on??

View Builder uses the defined public id in view builder, default public not your id.

What do I need to set so that I can see the domains in the dashboard view builder?

View Builder allows you to customize the look and add content to the public view. So to add content to the public view the public id must have access to the domains that you want to get the content from. because public will have access to the domains then everyone will have access to all the content in the domains. Use the user aministration console and give the public id access to the groups that have access to the domains toy want content from.

Thanks - that worked.

Question - once I'm done building the dashboard, can I remove the public user's access and still have the dashboard work correctly?

Thanks - I actually don't want to have a public user anyways - so does that mean it would work for the other users?

If they try to access the public view they will also get an error. but they can login as them self not going to the public view and I think they will be ok you can always try it with your id.

If the domain is not available while adding/editing dashboard view contents, then we need to go to MRE Admin console. Under Groups tab select the required view name and edit (double click or click edit button on the top).
On the right side of the page, drag and drop domains from Available Domains to This Groups Domains. Save the changes and re-enter to view builder. Now the domains will be available for adding contents.
