We recently upgraded to WebFOCUS 7.6.1 from 5.3.3. In the WebFOCUS console, when viewing reports currently running, (Workspace/Monitor/Agents) 5.3.3 would allow us to see the user ID. Since upgrading we are able to see the user ID in the User field to determine who was running reports. I have admin rights, but still cannot see them. I did try adding users to the server under ReportCaster console, and did see user ID's, but it seems that I can only add my ID and cannot add anyone else's otherwise it's reporting my info under their ID. Thank you in advance.

Is your server security set to OPSYS? Do you have to logon to get to the console?

Please update your profile signature with your product suite, releases, and platforms. That will make it easier for us to help you.

Sorry, first time posting to Focal point. Yes, we do have to log in to WebFOCUS console with a user ID and password. Our security set is PTH (so I'm told).

Susan,

Please don't forget to update your profile signature. Go to the Personal Zone and file the profile entry that starts with *****Required...

Anyway, here is the doc from the Server Administration manual on PTH security:

quote:
PTH security mode only controls access to the Web Console. In this security mode, there
is no impersonation by data agents or authentication of a non-Web Console connected
user. From the operating system point of view, all server processes run as a single user
ID, and access to the Web Console is controlled by authenticating names against those
defined in the admin.cfg file.

See the part about all server processes running as a single user id. I think that in order to see all the userids, you'd have to be running OPSYS security. You might check to see how your previous server was running.

Hope this helps.

If you go to Workspace/Access Control, it will tell you what security scheme you are running under.
