Hi,

I am facing problem when I trying to save the data into focus file. It allows me upto 550 characters to store for the particular field. But real field is 4000V. As soon as I modify to 4000V it error out while saving to focus file.
Shows Error "(FOC397) Length of Fields on Focus File Segment Exceeds 4000 bytes."
If I run the report without saving to focus file it works for me only booms out when try to save in the focus file.
Pls. let me know if any kind of limitation to focus storage. Thanks in advance for all your suggestions.

I would suggest you try using XFOCUS format. It uses a larger page size than 4096 and should be able to fit your variable.

Viral:

Be sure to put the V field on its own unque segment (with no other fields). And, use XFOCUS to store the file in 8K blocks.
