I was connecting a new ReportCaster installation to an existing repository (from the same WF version.)

When I attempted to create new schedules, Standard Reports were not an option.

THere was also this puzzling message in dialogs for existing schedules when I attempted to open them and in the logs when I ran them:
 ReportCaster is configured not to allow schedules with the standard report to modify


I found nothing in tech support site or Focal Point with that error, so I though I'd post here for others.

I knew it had to be something simple... and with some help from IBI, we found it. Standard Reports were not checked in Schedule Task list.

  • Open the Report Caster Admin Console.
  • Click General preferences.
  • Open the dialog on the Schedule Tasks line.
  • Select Stanard Reports, and exit the dialog by clicking ok.
  • Redeploy the client (in my case, two clients) and restart the distribution server.
