Hi,

I have a simple problem. For some reason, AHTML does not respect the BORDER setting in the HTMLCSS. Can somebody share how they apply borders to the report but not for the Heading?

Here's a code sample:

-DEFAULT &FMT='AHTML'
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT
     DEALER_COST
     RETAIL_COST
BY BODYTYPE
BY COUNTRY
ON COUNTRY SUBTOTAL AS '*TOTAL'
HEADING
"CAR FILE REPORT"
"Testing the Border"
"on the Header of an AHTML Report"
FOOTING
""
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM OFF
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT &FMT
ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
     UNITS=IN,
     SQUEEZE=ON,
     ORIENTATION=PORTRAIT,
$
TYPE=REPORT,
     FONT='ARIAL',
     SIZE=9,
     BORDER=LIGHT,
	 BORDER-STYLE=SOLID,
$
TYPE=TITLE,
     STYLE=BOLD,
$
TYPE=HEADING,
     SIZE=12,
     STYLE=BOLD,
	 BORDER=OFF,
$
TYPE=GRANDTOTAL,
     BACKCOLOR=RGB(210 210 210),
     STYLE=BOLD,
$
TYPE=DATA,
$
ENDSTYLE
END

If you change the &FMT value to HTML the borders work just fine. But AHTML applies the border to the entire report which makes the Header look crappy.

I've tried several variations = Setting GRID to OFF (removes the border from the entire report), Setting the BORDER to OFF at the Report level and turning it on just for the DATA... still doesn't work.

Thanks for your help.

Hi Anatess,

From our technicals: If you use Report Painter, you'll see that the border open is grayed out, meaning not available. You can code the borders, but when the report runs, you won't get borders. This is checked with 7703 hotfix. It looks like border support starts with 7704. Styling an Active Technologies Report or Dashboard

Cheers,

Kerry
