I saw this topic discussed several times on Forums, but I have not been able to find a working solution. When doing SUBTOTAL with EXL2K format, like this:

SET PRINTPLUS=ON
DEFINE FILE CAR
BLANK/A1 WITH COUNTRY='';
END
TABLE FILE CAR
SUM SALES
BY COUNTRY
BY BLANK NOPRINT
BY MODEL

ON BLANK SUBFOOT
" "
ON BLANK SKIP-LINE
ON BLANK SUBTOTAL AS 'SUBTOTAL'
ON TABLE SET BYDISPLAY ON
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT EXL2K
ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=REPORT, FONT=ARIAL, GRID=OFF, $
END

the SUBTOTAL row is right after the data rows - there is no blank row separating it from the data.

I specifically included everything I tried in the above code:

The SKIP-LINE makes it work for PDF format.
The GRID=OFF makes it work for HTML.
But nothing above makes it work for me with HTML format.

As always, any help and/or suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Strange!
I'm also using 761 and Excel 2003 and I do not see a blank like before the subtotals.
What can be different?

Has this issue been resolved? Is the above the complete code?

Thank you in advance for clarifications. Smiler

Nope, I still cannot get the SUBTOTAL line to be separate from the data in EXL2K format.
I run the code I originally showed and tested the one Prarie suggested, and get the results I showed in my June 20th message. As you can see, the Grandtotal: TOTAL 208420 does get separated with a blank row, but the SUBTOTAL 88190 is right below the data.

Thank you.
