Hi all

I have a question on WF security.

We only have public views. But for one report, there is a req where users should see just their data. As we dont have &IBIMR_user. so is there any way to fetch windows desktop login id of the user?

Please let me know the possibilities.

Thank you

Two ways to obtain the LAN user name, from a web page, that you might want to take a look at:
  • Windows Script Host (WSH) - Network Object - UserName
  • ASP Request Object - AUTH_USER

If your web server is IIS then you could try grabbing REMOTE_USER.
This will pass the value of REMOTE_USER to WebFocus. [CLOSED] Amper Var for MRE Domain/Folder?

You would have to add this line to the Custom Settings on the WebFocus Administration Console.
<set> REMOTE_USER (pass)

Test to see what the value of &REMOTE_USER
-* File test.fex
-TYPE Remote User = &REMOTE_USER
