One can display the variables generated in SITE.WFS (or other WebFOCUS scripts) by using _HTML_COMMENT_VAR. However, this variable is only used by CGI and does not work with WFServlet. The WFServlet uses internal code to produce the same information which cannot be customized (per tech support). Just curious, has anyone developed another method for observing the contents of .wfs variables with WFServlet?

Thanks.

Hi Jim and all,

FYI, the _HTML_COMMENT_VAR variable (in site.wfs by default) is only used by the cgi. The WFServlet uses
internal code to produce the same information which cannot be customized.

Hope this helps. Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry

Jim, this may be of help to you:

Manipulating WebFOCUS Variables

I'm pointing you to the 5.3 version of the doc, please look at the appropriate doc for the version you're using. (You'll need to login to IBI Tech Support).

Also, take a look at these FocalPoint threads:

Pass the URL of the current WF request in a DM variable
Need to capture the folder from a MRE user after logon
Using System/User Variables
