Hi,

I am working in mainframe applicaiton.
Please help me how to remove the record from FOCUS file.

You have to write a MODIFY and do an ON MATCH DELETE using the key of the record.

Another way is to do a REBUILD/REORG with conditions.

I'm afraid you are going to have to get the mainframe FOCUS manual out and do some reading with the hints I've given you.

It's very easy to do with Maintain:

MAINTAIN FILE
Next Field into Stk
Where Field eq value -* Here, field is the key field in the Master and Value is the row you want to delete.
Delete Field from Stk
END

That's it. Just make sure that you only get the record you want by listing a WHERE statement for each key field. If the file is multi-segment, then list the keys from the lowest segment that you wish to delete.
