I am trying to produce a horizontal block graph as PDF with the following

No axis , no titles, no labels etc

in other words only the blocks are visible. This works fine but when the block is = 0 a thin line is still visible. I need to get rid of this line but still leave the space.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Could you create a simple example using one of the sample files and post the code here? I'm not quite sure what's happening.

Here is a sample code. When you run it you will see 2 blank blocks which have a thin line at the start of them. I need to keep the blank blocks but get rid of the line.

From what I can understand from your sample you add two none existing data : Ford & Vauxhall to "create" illustrate the zero block.

The simplest solution is the have them removed from the data to be displayed in the graph.
If you pre-extract the data and remove the missing value and have that hold data as input to your graph, you should not have a zero block.
Or when possible, you can also have the WHERE clause in the graph itself.

I only inserted FORD & Vauxhall in order to simulate my problem. I need to show the empty blocks but not show the thin lines at the left most position of where the blocks would be if they weren't empty.

How about creating a Compound PDF and reference a fex as shown in This Post, which produces a nice bar only? You can easily remove the reference line.

I don't understand why transparent borders doesn't seem to work when the block value is zero.

The issue is not with the borders. It comes from the "data" bar itself. When the value is zero (missing), it still display a tiny bar at zero and I can't find a way to have it hidden.

Try making the border the same color as the bar (series).

The issue is not the border as I previously pointed but the data bar itself.
Making the border the same color as the bar result in a worst scenario. Now instead of seeing a tiny line almost not visible, we're seeing a "large" line.

I also think that it's related to the output format PDF because as a JSCHART, the "empty" slots does not display any line/bar but it's possible to hover the "none existing" bar and see the tooltip.
So since there is an "empty" slot, the PDF format shows it as a tiny line.
