We have added a number of users so that they have access to both our test and production BI dashboards. In a few cases recently the users are getting those hideous HTTP 500 error messages. After sending the Worp logs and other traces up to TechSupport we have learned that their .xml files are corrupted.

We tried to delete and reenter the users in MRE but to no avail. The McGyver (sp?) fix has been to copy good .xml files with similar permissions over the bad .xml files. However, copyng and pasting the good over the bad is only curing the symptom, not the disease (or plague or epidemic, whatever). Has anybody else run into this problem? We have a Windows 2000 system and currently have 5.3.3 in for both test and production.

Thanks in advance. Focal Point Rocks! Cool

I don't know about what corrupts, but I do know that having two WebFOCUS sessions open can cause issues. It's best to only be logged on to one or the other, not both at the same time.

I messed up a customer's domain area some by signing on as me while their session was still avtive.
