I have written a fex where I set a date code at the top of the fex like:

quote:

-SET &BEG1 = '20090101';
-SET &END1 = '20090131';

These dates are used in an -INCLUDE routine.
This routine uses the dates in a where statement:
quote:

WHERE ADT_ARRIVAL_TIME FROM DT(20090720 00:00:00) TO DT(20090727 23:59:59);

and the INCLUDE routine creates several LARGE hold files.
Otherwise, the &BEG and &END1 are not used again.

The report that this fex creates has some drilldowns and I would like to pass the &BEG and &END1
to the drill report(s) to save some background processing time.

In the report referenced above, I have this drill link which is working without the &dates added to the
parms:
quote:

FOCEXEC=app/crdrill1(UNIT=N3),

I have been testing this link by running it with this code:
quote:

-TYPE &FOCFOCEXEC
-TYPE &|UNIT = &UNIT
-RUN

Can anyone help? Confused

Thanks!

You pass &variables as static values using the name of the &var. This would result in the following code, using your current drill reference:

FOCEXEC=app/crdrill1(UNIT=N3 BEG1='&BEG1' END1='&END1'),
