I run quite a few SQL queries from my client and afterwards produce FOCUS graphs. All the queries access the same database table, and work, except for one which I get the following message:

(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS -1 (HEX: FFFFFFFF)
: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server: [] Requested conversion is not
: supported.
(FOC1407) SQL FETCH CURSOR ERROR. : SQLOUT
(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS -1 (HEX: FFFFFFFF)
: Microsoft OLE DB Provider for SQL Server: [] Requested conversion is not
: supported.

I'm not exactly sure what this error means or what to tell the client to look for in this particular SQL query to fix the problem. Any suggestion?

It could be a date conversion or a numeric conversion or a text field to alpha field conversion. I would comment out all the retrieved columns in the request except one, then add them one at a time until you get the error. Process of elimination.

Do you have a CONVERT or CAST function specified?

The client identified the problem using your first suggestion. Thanks.
