I know my files are in the app path, and the data file contains a record. When I ran the same query through WEBFOCUS Run Ad Adhoc Procedure, it retrieved one record, but it generated 0 record when it ran through a serious procedures including that simple query. It errored out with -Read failed as no records retrieved. What might be the cause of this type of strange issue (I pasted the portion of the code below)?

There may be other issues, too, but I believe release 7.7 requires the ending period after the format for the -READ. Try this:

-READ SAVE &EDATE.A8.

Once we changed ON TABLE HOLD AS HLDC601 FORMAT FOCUS to ON TABLE HOLD AS HLDC601 in the previous query, it started to work. Not sure why FORMAT FOCUS will cause this type of issue.
