We have an SSIS package on MMSQL Server that triggers a stored procedure to run on an Oracle database to transfer error data approximately once/month. We have a web focus report to print the data in the Oracle tables that is rather large and takes a while to run. I am wanting to know if there is a way to auto run a report based on a trigger file from the Oracle server when the stored procedure is complete and the new data is populated?

WebFOCUS servers support file listeners.

Not sure if it needs a licence.

I haven't done one before, but its set up on the server console. A new File listener needs creating.

Hi,

If you have report caster you could set this up as an alert schedule. The initial schedule would run like every 10 minutes checking the trigger file when it finally meets the condition it would then run the Large report. You just need to make sure that the condition gets reset once the large report runs.

I was searching Help Content files and saw report caster could be an option. Our administrators are reaching out to IBI to see if there is a way to get this trigger via Zena. Thanks for the Replies!
