SQL Time Stamp is changing on cluster join

Hi - just wondering what could possibly make this particular problem occur...or if anyone else has run across this. I have a CUSTOMER table that has Customer ID, Customer Code, Customer Desc, Date Created (auto time/stamp field). When this table was created, all original customers had the date of 12/16/06, which I understand. Many other customers have been added and it's possible to find out new customers by doing a WHERE statement on the Date Created field.

The problem is that this CUSTOMER table is part of a cluster join to a larger data set linking SALES REP, INVOICE FACTS, CUSTOMER, TIME DEFINITIONS and several other separate SQL tables. I tried to do a WHERE statement on the Date Created field in the Customer table join and all the dates for all the customers are showing 12/16/06. It's not showing the dates in the separate CUSTOMER table.

Any ideas?

There might be more then one field with the same name?
There might be more instances of the records, while the join only retrieves the first initial row?
Maybe there is even another reason for this to happen, but you can't be sure until you really take an in-depth look into the join structure and the tables that belong to it.
What type of database are we discussing (MSSQL, DB2, Oracle)?
