I've noticed something very odd today. The simplest PDF reports look wrong when run on our test, local WebFOCUS server. They're fine on the Production server.

Windows XP 2002 SP2, WebFOCUS 7.6.5, RELEASE = R720765B, GEN_NUM = 275


AIX 5.3, WebFOCUS 7.6.5, RELEASE = R720765D, GEN_NUM = 275


What the heck is going on?

The settings are exactly the same, except for MODE (WINNT vs UNIX) and TEMP DISK.

Very strange.

I'll try rebooting the test server and then verify the Master to make sure no one has messed with car.mas.

Are you running it through DS or the WF servers console ?

FYI, I just installed 765 on windows and ran the code throught the console, all is OK.

The funny thing about this is that I think I've seen this before, but cannot remember why, perhaps something to do with the fex its self.

Where is the original fex from AIX or Windows ?

Could there be unprinable wacky chars in the file ?

Another option would be to install a second copy of WF on windows and test.

Problem solved!

Last week I had set the Code Page to Baltic to help resolve a problem posted on FocalPoint. I set it back to normal and things are OK!

Another few days and I would have never remembered that I made that change.
