I am working in mainframe focus, version 7.2.3. I have a focus program where I have created 2 files, catenated them together and would now like to sort them. This is what I have so far...
CMS COPY EEIH1 FOCTEMP Z EEPYT1 FOCTEMP Z (REPLACE)
CMS COPY EEIL1 FOCTEMP Z EEPYT1 FOCTEMP Z (APPEND)
CMS SORT EEPYT1 FOCTEMP Z EEPYT2 FOCTEMP Z

I am then prompted for the sort fields by the following command:

DMSSRT604R Enter sort fields:

I would like the program to automatically put in the string (04 10 02 02) so that there is no user intervention. How do I do this from within the focus program?

Thank you!

Hi cbm,

Has this issue been resolved?

I am wondering, would you mind to let us know, is there a reason of why you are not using FOCUS to sort? Smiler

Cheers,

Kerry
