Hi,

How can I migrate all the configurations related to Reporting server from 7.7.03 to 8.0?

Do I have to do it manually? OR is there any migration utility there?

Thanks
Kamesh

Hi Kamesh,

I don't think there is a migration tool for the Reporting Server. For the configuration, most of it you can just copy the contents of

(most of the contents)

edaserve.cgf
admin.cfg
edasprof.prf

from you old to your new.

Hi

There is an option for automatic migration of the reporting server settings:
after the fresh installation of the webfocus reporting server go to its webconsole ->choose workspace--> migrate -> choose the path of the previous installation
for example: C:\ibi\srv77\wfs

That worked great.

Is there a way to migrate the Client settings?

As far as I know you can only migrate automatically the repositories: reports (basedir) and report caster
for example if you use on the client special security configuration such as Kerberos, you will have to define it manually as the config files changed
