My version of App Studio was working fine all day yesterday (and for the past three months, actually).

Early this morning my laptop received Windows Updates. Now when I start up App Studio I get this message:

"Encountered an improper argument."

I can no longer see the Content, Reporting Servers or Portal trees.

I don't know if the Windows Update was responsible or not, but there isn't anything else that has changed on my laptop.

Has anyone else encountered this?

I managed to fix the problem. The App Studio Environment for my development server got corrupted somehow. I deleted the old one, then created a new one with the same name. When clicking OK to confirm, I was warned that the old Environment name still existed (The one I JUST deleted? How so?).

So I gave it a slightly different name and now everything works again.
