Does anyone have experience with FILEDEF to UNIX from an nfs mount? We are trying to read a csv file that will be updated daily and needs to be read into a report created in WebFOCUS. I do not receive an error but the results say:
0 NUMBER OF RECORDS IN TABLE= 0 LINES= 0

This report has 163 lines.

Below is what we have at this time.

FILEDEF MGN_CAD DISK /apps/wf_7.7/ibi/apps/openair_rptz/GBL__Margin_2011_CAD_report_pivot.csv

-RUN

TABLE FILE GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT
PRINT
GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.DATE
GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.PROJECT
GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.PROJECT_EXTERNAL_ID
END

Within Dev Studio, I can see the report under the folder openair_rptz in the Other folder. However if I select the file, the message says

(FOC1562) EDAGET: FILE OPENAIR_RPTZ/GBL_MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT NOT FOUND.

Is it not possible to use an nfs mount?

Thank you,
Geri

FILEDEF statement is wrong

quote:

FILEDEF GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT DISK /apps/wf_7.7/ibi/apps/openair_rptz/GBL__Margin_2011_CAD_report_pivot.csv

-RUN

TABLE FILE GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT
PRINT
GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.DATE
GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.PROJECT
GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT.PROJECT_EXTERNAL_ID
END

Hello,

This works! When searching the forum, I noticed others changed the master file name. Obviously in this case, that does not work.

Thank you for the help!

I guess that the master file was GBL__MARGIN_2011_CAD_REPORT_PIVOT
and not MGN_CAD
