I am trying to combine two Managed Reporting repositories.
They are both 7.1 repositories.
Using the Migrate tool I pick the first repository to extract.
Then when I go to add the second repository to the list the Migrate tool says that it cannot find user.htm and mrrepos.htm.
When I goto to the basedir of that repository the files are there. What gives. Confused

Has anyone ran into this before?
Can the Managed Reporting Migration Tool be used to combine two repositories?

If I have to do this manually what are the steps?
Quick Rundown.
1. Copy user / domain folders.
2. Copy user / domain html files.
3. Copy user.htm, role.htm, and mrrepos.htm
Looking for any differences and editing accordingly.

Max,

Don't think you can use mrmigrate to merge repositories. Basicly the only thing mrmigrate does is to create a zipfile of the basedir files (it does a little bit oer, but not much).
I do not know of a tool that will allow this, which may mean that you'll indeed have to do things manually. Steps 1 and 2 I can live with, unless there are domain folders/files that have the same name.
The hard part is in the user, role, admin, mrrepos and public files. They have to be checked visually and merged manually - which is not a user friendly process.
But maybe someone has come up with a tool / utility that can do this. Hope so for your sake.

The interesting thing is that mrmigrate does ask if you want to extract another repository.

I haven't done it myself, so the question is does it create two zip files or just one.

To my knowledge, it creates 1 zip file with full path info on the compressed files and folders.
You will have to revert to using a file compare utility in order to manually merge the user.htm and role.htm files from the 2 MRE repositories.
