My users currently have an excel report that on each column there is an arrow that you can click on and change the sorting of the report. They want me to rewrite the report in webfocus, but they want to have the arrows on each column with their various sorting options. Does anyone know how to do this? I know I can go to the menu and select these same options, but they want them on each column. Thanks.

perfect application of the new Active Reports product in Version 714.
What version are you on? (you need to edit your profile/signature to state your version, opsys, etc).
Are you asking for excel output or for html output? you don't specify.
There is a work around if you want html output and don't have active reports product, but answer these questions, if you would, before we go on.

Pam,

Use OLAP which is available in 533 I believe, and it is even better in 7.1.3!

Pam, You obviously have a macro in the excel that formats and puts in the controls.

Look at the Creating Excel Macros article in Focus on Developers that was posted a
while ago. That will show you exactly how you can do it in 533.

If you need some specific help contact me.
