Hai all

I have a date field in HYYMDS format.
I am able to extract date from it in YYMD format using HDATE. Is there any way (function) to extract the time in I11 format? I extracted hours, mins and seconds individually using HPART but I am not able to concatenate them as they are not strings. Let me know of any suggestions..!

Thanks

DEFINE FILE CAR
DT1/HYYMDS = DT(20091117 15:24:34.165);
END
TABLE FILE CAR
PRINT DT1
COMPUTE TM1/HHIa = DT1;
COMPUTE TM2/HHISa = DT1;
COMPUTE TM3/HHIS = DT1;
BY COUNTRY
END

I think a visit to the documentation is required. Have a look at the Function Documentation HTIME in particular.

I would suggest saving a copy of all the documentation, then you can have a quick check before posting.

Have you tried the documentation?

Using Functions > Date and Time Functions > HTIME: Converting the Time Portion of a Date-Time Value to a Number
