It is my understanding that the FOCSORT file used for the internal sort in 7.6.10 can grow to any size allowed by the operating system running and the available disk space.

Where would I find the documentation to support this statement?

That document is for v7.6.1.

This is for v7.6.10: WebFOCUS New Features - available in Version 7 Release 6.10 and there's no mention of FOCSORT, so unless something happened between v7.6.1 and v7.6.10 the limitation is still there - according to the documentation (or lack of it).

The doc mentioned in this thread states that the max size of focsort is 1 gig. That most definitely is not the case anymore.As of 7.6 the limit for focsort is lifted.
