It is my understanding that the FOCSORT file used for the internal sort in 7.6.10 can grow to any size allowed by the operating system running and the available disk space.

This is for v7.6.10: WebFOCUS New Features - available in Version 7 Release 6.10 and there's no mention of FOCSORT, so unless something happened between v7.6.1 and v7.6.10 the limitation is still there - according to the documentation (or lack of it).

The doc mentioned in this thread states that the max size of focsort is 1 gig. That most definitely is not the case anymore.As of 7.6 the limit for focsort is lifted. See this page
