Steven, based on the list of variables you want to display it seems to me that they are all application-specific variables and so they should show up when using SAVEPRINT if available in your session. Did you actually try and they didn't show?
Originally posted by StevenTCramer: Correct as above they are NOT the same.
Yes, that had already been established but it wasn't my question.
Forget about WebFOCUS internal variables for now (&YYMD, &INVALID, &LINES, READS, etc.) which we already saw SAVEPRINT does not display.
What I want to know is if YOUR specific application variables, the ones I assume you really care about (&CurrentDateInternal, &CurrentDate, &CurrentYear, etc.) get displayed when using SAVEPRINT?
My guess is that they are indeed displayed and in that case it should be okay for you to use SAVEPRINT and capture their values. The fact that WebFOCUS "internal" variables are not displayed using SAVEPRINT should be irrelevant but I don't know what the purpose of your application is and it would be silly for me to make assumptions as to what your requirements are, so as I said in your other post about the same issue, if you need ALL available variables (both WebFOCUS' and yours) you know what -? & and -? & SAVEPRINT each can do for you so you'll have to capture both sets of results and find a way to merge them somehow.
