if you're in mre, you can use the PUBLISH option to generate a form for you that makes simple form variables out of your parms and launches, and that'll teach you the basics.
If you're in a selfserv, you can adapt the form ; heres an example, Zu
<FORM name="form" action="http://grwf01/ibi_apps/WFServlet" TARGET="main"
method="get" >
<input type="hidden" name="IBIF_ex" value="myfexname">
..this is my path
<input type="hidden" name="IBIMR_domain" value="untitled/untitled.htm">
<input type="hidden" name="IBIC_user" value="edaadmin">
<input type="hidden" name="IBIC_pass" value="edauser">
** you can pass a bunch of hidden vars
<input type="hidden" name="MYVAR" value="MYVAL">
** if you're using iwa,
<input type="hidden" name="USER" value="<%= request.servervariables("LOGON_USER") %>">

stick in your submit button and your reset buttons, close your form, and off you go.
Its all in the ACTION call
the action can call another .asp
it can call the focus engine
and you can call the focus engine with servlet or cgi or isapi, whatever works.
And method=get or post , depending on your needs. Servlet is get by default, with isapi (webapi.dll and post, you get some cool billgates features)

you might want to read this thread ; it has some fine examples of form syntax.
