I have an Oracle table called WORKORDERDETAIL. It gets updated each night from the mainframe thru an ETL process.

We are creating an exact copy of WORKORDERDETAIL called WOD for a special project. Seems redundant but is not.

I have 109 transformations in WORKORDERDETAIL and need all the same transformations for WOD.

How can I do this in ETL without having to to key in all 109 transformations all over again for WOD.

Jim you might want to repost this in the iWay forum, as there will be a log more ETL type people online there.

Why not just populate WOD directly from the updated WORKORDERDETAIL? and save having to do the transformations twice?

Just a thought .......

Hi Jim,

Has this issue been resolved? How about Tony's suggestion?

Here are a few suggestions:

1. I did some quick search and I agree with dhagen that you may want to post the question to iWay forum, since this looks more like an iWay issue and there are more ETL people to help you on that forum.

2. I also tried a bit search on techsupport website and the following topics from Information Builders' online documents may be of interest:

What command to use to set Oracle instance
http://techsupport.informationbuilders.com/sps/13342081.html

How do we use Oracle for ETL logs rather than Focus DB?
http://techsupport.informationbuilders.com/sps/90561015.html

3. Just wondering, what release of ETL are you using now?

Hope this helps. Big Grin

Cheers,

Kerry
