Hi,

Can I make a table request for a specific userid and password.

e.g.

-some set cmd for setting user id pwd

TABLE FILE TBLNAME
PRINT *
END

the above code should run for the userid set before the table request.

Regards
CD

something like

SET or ENGINE command for setting USERID & PWD
(like we have ENGINE DB2 SET CONNECTION_ATTRIBUTES DBName/Userid,Pwd) for SQL passthru

and then fetch the data as per this ID and PWD.

I need a similar command mentioned above but for TABLE Requests not passthru

I am not exactly what you are looking for ...
If you want the TABLE command to run with the user athority (opsys enforcement of file access), then run a secured server.
And doing the ENGINE command to set user/password will cause the shipped SQL that TABLE gnerates under the covers to run with that connection id.
Lastly, if you are looking for row level screening on databases (usually focus) you can use DBA.
