Trying to use the RANK command in a report. When I do, it works but...the RANK column shows on the report and I want it to be invisible. I use the NOPRINT statement and it's like it just gets ignored. Anybody experience this problem or have any solutions?

If that is the case, you can either put the ranked data in a hold file and TABLEF from the hold without the rank field or you can do the ranking yourself by sorting BY HIGHEST, then doing a compute to calculate the rank. You can then test that compute with a WHERE TOTAL to limit the number of entries you see on the report.

If you don't need the Rank, then use BY HIGHEST only as Ginny says.

A person I work with made the text of the rank column the same color as the background so you couldn't see the column when you run the report.

Kind of "caveman" but it worked.
