I use OVER in a report that can be run as HTML, PDF or EXL2K. The formatting looks fine for HTML and Excel. The columns do not line up correctly for PDF.

I searched the forum for OVER and PDF and have not found a suitable solution.

As this report is run for different formats, I do not want to have to use the FTOA function to convert my numeric data as alphabetic and then right justify them.

I cannot understand why this does not line up correctly. The "IN 20" correctly left-aligns the columns. Since they are all the same size one would think they would right-align. The JUSTIFY=RIGHT in the stylesheet does not work.

Not sure but would using a non-proportional font (like Courier) for your PDF output fix the problem? Is this even a viable option?

Alternately, have you tried using the POSITION attribute in the style sheet? POSITION sets the absolute or relative column position for PDF output. (I don't think it would mess up your HTML output). I'll try and test this later....

Thanks for the suggestion, but even if I use a non-proportional font, the numeric columns are left justified.

POSITION indicates the starting position of a column, so this won't make the numeric columns right-justified.

Well, after digging around on the Tech Support site for a while, it appears that if I set SQUEEZE to OFF, the right justification works! But there is quite a bit os space between the columns.

Contrary to what is suggested at Tech Support, I don't feel this is normal behaviour and may have to open a case.

I have had this problem with PDF before and squeezed each column to get rid of the spaces...a pain....but it worked.
