Hi all,

Can we replace a match with join,
what will be the problem if we do so,

i encounter a mismatch error when i use a MATCH
i have to include the old-and-new files.

can anyone give me the suggestion of doing this????


MATCH FILE TBRLDE
SUM DEBITS CREDITS
BY CO_CENT AS 'RECIP_KEY' BY XCO_CENT BY C3

Depends on what type of files are in the MATCH. I'd say if you are encountering a mismatch with MATCH, you'll encounter the same thing with JOIN. Post the masters and the full MATCH fex.

As jgelona says, depends. Also, depends on what you are trying to do, and in the code you posted you show only the first match. You may have to be sure you are using the same 'by values' for each.

And, if you indeed need the old-and-new option, I don't think you'll get that done by using join(s). Other question is of course why you would want to change over to joins iso match.
Mismatch problems can be solved by looking at the seperate master files. Probably there is a format conflict between both files for one of the by-fields. And if that is the case, you could create a define to overcome that issue.
