[SOLVED] System Variable for Account Info in Job Card
We are using Mainframe Focus 7.6.5 Does anyone know if there is a system variable that can be used in the job card of the JCL for the account number associated to the user submitting the job ? Or can FOCUS capture that info and pass it to the JCL ? Instead of hard coding the account number in the job card of the JCL I would like it to be that of the person submitting the job.

Hi CherilG,

While it is possible to use variables in the SYSIN statements in JCL, it's not possible to use a variable in the job card of the JCL.

Thanks and regards,

Kathryn

It is possible to use a variable in the job card. However, I have not seen it in the account number.I have seen the following system variable used: NOTIFY=&SYSUID on the jobcard.
