I am having 2 statements . They are as follows.
I get an error message when I run my report and it is as follows.

A VALUE IS MISSING FOR: &IDLOC

The stmt where I get an error message is :
-SET &IDLOCPOS = POSIT(&LOCATION_PARM, 40, ':', 1, 'I2');
-SET &IDLOC = SUBSTR(25, &LOCATION_PARM, &IDLOCPOS, &IDLOCPOS+20, 20, &IDLOC);

Use the field format inside single quotes as the last argument for SUBSTR. ie 'A20'
You can only use the fieldname as the last argument in a DEFINE or a COMPUTE.

.... Unless you DEFAULT your &IDLOC variable before your SET.

Although, as Karen states, setting the output parm of the function to 'A20' will suffice.
