Hi All,

I am facing issue with subtotal formatting. My requirement is to give colspan on Subtotal line. I cannot use SubFoot because of the dynamic column numbers and order based on user selection from launch page. Report is taking first column width as the width of subtotal alias text. I want to squeeze the width of first column but this is not happening because of multiple by fields.
I want to know if it is possible to give colspan on Subtotal text.

Thanks,
Pravin.Singh

COLSPAN can only be used on headings and footings: HEADING, SUBHEAD, FOOTING, SUBFOOT...

Pravin,
You can use SUBFOOT even when the number of columns is dynamic, but you will have to build your SUBFOOT dynamically with some Dialog Manager.

Hi Francis/Danny,

Thanks for your inputs!! I got some workaround and the issue is resolved now. Subfoot was not possible for this situation because user had option to select which columns he wants to display in the report. So overall there will be n number of possible combinations of column selection from launch page.

Thanks,
Pravin.Singh

Good that you got some workaround.

Even with n selections. if you are able to find the value for n in the fex, then using a loop you can easily construct subfoot content.

Thanks,
Ram
