Not sure what is going on here...any clue?? I checked my edasprof and site.wfs and they seem ok...Not sure why I am getting this error. Theres nothing special about our setup. I can do table file car.. but anything via the data adapter gives me this..

(FOC1394) CONNECT FAILURE
(FOC1400) SQLCODE IS -30082 (HEX: FFFF8A7E)
: [08001] Authorization failure on distributed database connection attempt

L (FOC1406) SQL OPEN CURSOR ERROR.

Check with your DBA to see if anything has changed. DB2 can be so picky at times. Also, sometimes the connection doesn't 'take' in our environment.

Also, check the password. I was at one location that even though the password was not supposed to expire, every time we made any adjustments on the system it would reset the override on the password and 60 days later we would have the password expire.

I searched the IBI site and turns out it is a known issue -- this is for DB2 WebQuery (slimmed down WF for AS/400-System i).. I had to create a data area..

crtdtaara dtaara(qsys/qsqclicon) type(*char) len(7) value(*prvchk)

Your post really helped me out with a similar problem.

Excxept that I could'nt find feature 5050 installed anywhere on the system.
