How can we suppress the error messages produced by RC which occur when we FTP the generated PDF reports to a Windows server using a dynamic distribution list without having RC see it as an error (when it's actually a warning?)?

I've done this elsewhere where I filedef'd the reports to the app folder and FTP'd them from there. But, I don't want to do that (FTP from app server to final destination) again as it is not under our systems scheduler's control, thus requiring the use of the Windows Schedule, etc...

NOTE:This needs to be done on a job-by-job basis so that it does not affect all other RC users.

Schedule ID: S17ABCD7b123, Job Description: Reports error test
Completed with errors/warnings
. . .
BTP1010 No report for Inv_Recon_Report_STR14455.pdf with a burst value of STR12345.
BTP1010 No report for Inv_Recon_Report_STR98765.pdf with a burst value of STR23456.
    BTP1010 STR09800 distributed to Inv_Recon_Report_STR12345.pdf
    BTP1010 STR09801 distributed to Inv_Recon_Report_STR23456.pdf
. . .

I'm not sure what WF8 offers, but, I'm considering a NFR to replace "On Error" with "On Error or Warning", "On Error Only" to the "Notification will be sent out" options. What's your thoughts on this?

Thanks in advance... Doug

Hi,

On the RC admin console there is an option in the Distribution Settings which says "Processing for No Report to Distribute". That is set to Error by default I think.
You can change that to Warning and see if you still get those messages in the Log.

thanks

Thanks Severus.snape,

Frowner I'm sorry that I neglected to add a pertinent point, which is: this needs to be done on a job-by-job base so as not to affect all RC users.

* I reopened this with the pertinent information included.
