Hello all,

Does anyone know if GROUP Fields in a FOCUS DB are supported within MAINTAIN?

Thanks,

I'm sorry to say that Group Fields for FOCUS databases are not supported in Maintain. This feature is on the list for the future, but currenltly is not supported.

There may be some leeway in this. The following was pointed out to me...

In the Maintain environment group fields are supported in a Master File as long as they are not group keys, that is groups that are actual fields, as supported by VSAM. If you create a group field in the Maintain environment, the group will not be visible, only the fields that make up the group will be visible.

I hope this helps.

Mark
