Hai..

I have a drop-down which gets dynamically updated based on IBIMR_user.
If drop-down doesnt populate ( means that user is not appropriate) I want to display a message automatically in html.
I need some help regarding this..

Thanks..

it is puzzling to me where you want to display this message.
a dropdown-populating fex can write whatever you want into the revealed top line of the dropdown.
if you want this message in your report area, then the default (executed on load) version of your report can evaluate the same condition as your dropdown fex does and display your error condition message.

Enigma,

Our customers here use our product WrapApp to produce objects (e.g. dynamic list boxes) and forms. WrapApp supports displaying messages by assigning a message to an &variable. For example:

-SET &SW_ERROR='No Values Found for ' | &IBIMR_user;
