Hello all,

I have a simple report with joins:

JOIN
 DIM_CAMPUS.DIM_CAMPUS.CAMPUS_KEY IN DIM_CAMPUS TO MULTIPLE
 FACT_REGISTRATION.FACT_REGISTRATION.STUDENT_CAMPUS_KEY IN FACT_REGISTRATION
 TAG J0 AS J0
 END
JOIN
 J0.FACT_REGISTRATION.TERM_KEY IN DIM_CAMPUS TO MULTIPLE
 DIM_TERM.DIM_TERM.TERM_KEY IN DIM_TERM TAG J1 AS J1
 END
TABLE FILE DIM_CAMPUS
SUM
     DIM_CAMPUS.DIM_CAMPUS.CAMPUS AS 'HTML_Value'
BY  DIM_CAMPUS.DIM_CAMPUS.CAMPUS_CODE AS 'HTML_Code'
WHERE DIM_CAMPUS.DIM_CAMPUS.CAMPUS_CODE NE MISSING;
WHERE J1.DIM_TERM.TERM_CODE EQ '201220';
ON TABLE NOTOTAL
ON TABLE PCHOLD FORMAT HTML
END
-RUN

In Dev Studio under the data servers, this report runs fine. Under Managed reporting, it fails (seems to run forever). If I comment out the second where statement, the report runs in both the data servers and managed reporting secions in Dev Studio. I can also run reports fine off of dim_term in both areas as well.

I am at a loss as to why it works in dataservers and not in managed reporting thanks in advance.

I would try the usual debugging steps:

1) Add SQL traces to see what SQL is generated in both executions of the code. ( See here )

2) SET XRETRIEVAL=OFF so you don't have to wait "forever" to see the result of the execution.

Thank you very much for these techniques.
However, the problem magically disappeared as is quite common with many things in the ibi world (not always a good thing) and I no longer am running into the problem.
