Hey guys,
I promised I searched the forum before posting this and couldn't really find an easy way to do this. Please excuse if I missed any post.

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM SALES/D12M DEALER_COST PCT.DEALER_COST/D12.3
BY COUNTRY
BY CAR
ON TABLE SUMMARIZE
END

I'm trying not to remove the precision for PCT field on the grand total line. So instead of 100.000% it's nice to see just 100% specially we know its always going to be 100%.

Please let me know

Happy new years!

According to the manual, you can only reformat ROW-TOTAL.

TABLE FILE CAR
SUM
COMPUTE SALESD/D12M = SALES;
DEALER_COST
PCT.DEALER_COST/D12.3

BY COUNTRY
BY CAR

ON TABLE SUBFOOT
"TOTAL<ST.SALESD<ST.DEALER_COST<ST.PCT.DEALER_COST"

ON TABLE SET STYLE *
TYPE=TABFOOTING, HEADALIGN=BODY, COLOR=NAVY, JUSTIFY=RIGHT, $
TYPE=TABFOOTING, ITEM=1, COLSPAN=2, JUSTIFY=LEFT, $
END

You can use a report footing to show a subtotal. To have the reformatted SALES in the footing, a COMPUTE is required.

Thank you Francis. I do have it in a COMPUTE both my $$ and %% fields and I am showing the totals in SUBFOOT. Just can't get rid of decimals in the TOTAL line. Here's the actual snippet from fex. SHould I be controlling this within the STYLE?
  -SET &COUNT_FIELD = IF &AGEOPT EQ 0 THEN 'PARTICIPANTS' ELSE 'AGE_COUNT' ;

DEFINE FILE PLANASSET
TMPASS/A100=ASSET_CATEGORY;
TTLASS/A106=TMPASS||' '|'Total';
END

TABLE FILE PLANASSET
SUM
     &COUNT_FIELD/D12 AS 'Participants'
BY  LOWEST PLANASSET.SEG01.ASSET_CATEGORY NOPRINT
BY  PLANASSET.SEG01.LEGAL_NM AS 'Investment'
SUM
     COMPUTE BAL_AMT/D20.2M = &AMT_FIELD; AS 'Balance'
     COMPUTE BAL_PCT/D12.3% = PCT.&AMT_FIELD; AS 'Percent of Total'
BY  LOWEST PLANASSET.SEG01.ASSET_CATEGORY NOPRINT
BY  PLANASSET.SEG01.LEGAL_NM AS 'Investment'
BY  PLANASSET.SEG01.MONEY_SRC_NAME AS 'Money Source'

ON PLANASSET.SEG01.ASSET_CATEGORY SUBHEAD
"<ASSET_CATEGORY "
ON PLANASSET.SEG01.ASSET_CATEGORY SUBFOOT
"<TTLASS <+0> <ST.BAL_AMT<ST.BAL_PCT"

ON PLANASSET.SEG01.LEGAL_NM SUBFOOT
" <+0>INVESTMENT TOTAL<+0> <ST.BAL_AMT<ST.BAL_PCT"
ON TABLE SET PAGE-NUM OFF
ON TABLE COLUMN-TOTAL AS 'TOTAL' BAL_AMT BAL_PCT/D12%

Why would you not mention in your original post the fact that you DO have COMPUTEs and that you DO use SUBFOOT?

quote:
COMPUTE BAL_PCT/D12.3% = PCT.&AMT_FIELD; AS 'Percent of Total'

Simply COMPUTE a different column with a different format and use that in the SUBFOOT:

COMPUTE BAL_PCT_TOT/D12% = PCT.&AMT_FIELD; NOPRINT
...
ON PLANASSET.SEG01.LEGAL_NM SUBFOOT
" <+0>INVESTMENT TOTAL<+0> <ST.BAL_AMT<ST.BAL_PCT_TOT"
