Hi,

You can do a hold into a focus table (you can also specify the location of the focus table as well).

Best Regards,

Jimmy Pang

The native language for inserting data into a FOCUS data base is MODIFY. MAINTAIN is another though requires a separate license. You can find documentation on MODIFY in a mainframe FOCUS manual. Or as Jimmy said, you can say ON TABLE HOLD AS holdname FORMAT FOCUS [INDEX fieldname].

You might want to post the master you are trying to load into. If you want the file to hang around after the load, make sure that the master has a DATASET parameter in it or there is an APP HOLD in your program or your file will disappear.
