We are using the ability within IBI to retrieve data from an XML file on the server, rather than data from a database. The actual data is the result of a query, and is not a physical file, however from IBI’s perspective it appears to be a file. Depending on the parameters which were passed to the server, there is a possibility of the query taking up to 30 – 45 seconds to return data.
I am concerned that the request might ‘timeout’ while waiting for the reply. Typically when we make these types of calls from other programming languages, there is a default timeout period and then the ability to override the default period. I have the following questions:
1) What is the length in seconds or milliseconds after which an IBI call will fail/timeout after making a request for an XML document? 2) Is it possible to override this value?
