prodriguTimeout for IBI XML Calls
We are using the ability within IBI to retrieve data from an XML file on the server, rather than data from a database. The actual data is the result of a query, and is not a physical file, however from IBI’s perspective it appears to be a file. Depending on the parameters which were passed to the server, there is a possibility of the query taking up to 30 – 45 seconds to return data.
I am concerned that the request might ‘timeout’ while waiting for the reply. Typically when we make these types of calls from other programming languages, there is a default timeout period and then the ability to override the default period. I have the following questions:
1) What is the length in seconds or milliseconds after which an IBI call will fail/timeout after making a request for an XML document?
2) Is it possible to override this value?

Ram Prasad ETimeout can occur in any of these. Each component has its own default timeout value.
1. User browser
2. WF Client
3. WF Server
4. DB
Yes, it can be changed in all these.
