Greetings,

Run the following code and you will see two lines for the subtotals:

 TABLE FILE GGPRODS
 PRINT PRODUCT_ID
 PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION
 UNIT_PRICE
 BY    SIZE NOPRINT
 ON SIZE SUBTOTAL UNIT_PRICE AS 'Subtoal for each SIZE'
 ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
 ON TABLE PCHOLD AS GGREPT FORMAT AHTML
 ON TABLE SET STYLE *
 TYPE=REPORT,
 GRID=OFF,
 OBJECT=STATUS-AREA, PAGE-LOCATION=BOTTOM, JUSTIFY=CENTER,$
 ENDSTYLE
 END

Now look at the following URL, regarding the fix:

http://techsupport.information...ibm/ibm_tcn_024.html

Here is the same code, using the fix described in the URL:

 DEFINE FILE GGPRODS
 BLANK/A1 = ' ';
 END
 -*
 TABLE FILE GGPRODS
 PRINT PRODUCT_ID
 PRODUCT_DESCRIPTION
 UNIT_PRICE
 BY    BLANK AS ''
 BY    SIZE NOPRINT
 BY    BLANK AS ''
 ON SIZE SUBTOTAL UNIT_PRICE AS 'Subtoal for each SIZE'
 ON TABLE SET HTMLCSS ON
 ON TABLE PCHOLD AS GGREPT FORMAT AHTML
 ON TABLE SET STYLE *
 TYPE=REPORT,
 GRID=OFF,
 OBJECT=STATUS-AREA, PAGE-LOCATION=BOTTOM, JUSTIFY=CENTER,$
 ENDSTYLE
 END
 -RUN

Note that while the subtotal problem is fixed Smiler, we now have two unwanted columns within the Active Report Confused.

What is the correct fix to this issue, when running to an Active Report?

Thank you for your consideration,
Dave Briars

Thank you Francis!

The thread you showed me, contained another thread, that described a second way to 'fix' this problem:
quote:
..changing the first verb object to a low level BY field, thus extending the size of the BY's.

This additional way worked for me.

Thanks again,
Dave
