We are trying to convert a report from WebFOCUS 7.7.03 to 8.1.04. But when I run the report in WF8 I get a FOC207 Error saying that there is an error in the format definition of the image field. The field IMAGE_DATA appears to have something wrong in the Master file description, but I cannot figure out how I should define it. The field in the master file is described as "FIELD=IMAGE_DATA, ALIAS=image_data, USAGE=image, ACTUAL=A9, MISSING=ON, $"

We are using the exact same description for both 7 and 8. And it works fine in 7, but I am hitting this error in 8. I cannot find anything in the documentation about the format to be used for an image. But I am slightly surprised that A9 is the ACTUAL format. Seems a bit small to me. Though apparently A9 has been working for us for years now.

I would greatly appreciate any insight that anyone has on this matter, thanks!

I would use the Reporting Server Console to either refresh the existing metadata or create a new one and compare the differences.

Ok, I will see what results we get from that. Unfortunately I do not have permission to make changes to the master files in 8 so I will ask that person to try this and let you know what we find.

Thanks for the suggestion!
