Hi,
In the schema I am creating, I have a Join similar to below:

SEGMENT=table_2, SEGTYPE=KU, PARENT=table_1, CRFILE=table_2, CRINCLUDE=ALL, CRJOINTYPE=INNER,
JOIN_WHERE= (table_1.CLASS_KEY EQ table_2.CLASS_KEY OR table_2.CLASS_KEY EQ -99 )

I realize that its not a "optimizable" Join but not sure how else to tackle this situation.

Anyone has a better idea.

BM,

Try your WHERE out in a report first to see if it returns the expected results.

To find out if your report is optimized you are add in the SQL trace commands to the beginning of the report.

See the following Focal Point link with the syntax for the SQL trace commands - Capturing the generated SQL statement

You can search on "optimization" in the Forum as well.

Provide a bit more clarity on what you are trying to accomplish with this JOIN.

Its not clear what your actual problem is? Is the query not running correctly? is the SQL not being generated correctly? What is your issue and have you tried tracing the SQL?
