Hello,

I've been looking for info on how to add a linear interpolation to a bar graph but I couldn't find anything. Is it even possible?

Thanks in advance.

I suggest you look for something in Visual Discovery

By "linear interpolation", do you mean a line connecting the bars in the graph?

Here are two ideas using the CAR file. The first displays the graph values twice, once as bars and once as a line. The second uses a stacked bar graph with connect lines, but displays data for only one bar segment per x-axis value (no stacking).

GRAPH FILE CAR
 SUM DEALER_COST
     DEALER_COST AS ''
 ACROSS CAR
 ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH VBAR
 ON GRAPH SET GRAPHEDIT SERVER
 ON GRAPH SET 3D OFF
 ON GRAPH SET VZERO ON
 ON GRAPH SET GRID ON
 ON GRAPH SET GRAPHSTYLE *
  setMarkerDisplay(false);
  setSeriesType(1,2);
  setSeriesDefaultTransparentBorderColor(true);
  setUseSeriesBorderDefaults(true);
  setUseSeriesShapes(true);
  setMarkerShape(getSeries(1),0);
  setNullLegendMarkerShapesAsSquares(false);
  setLegendMarkersPerRow(1);
  setPlace(true);
 ENDSTYLE
 ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT PNG
END

GRAPH FILE CAR
 SUM DEALER_COST
 ACROSS CAR
 ON GRAPH SET LOOKGRAPH VBRSTK1
 ON GRAPH SET GRAPHEDIT SERVER
 ON GRAPH SET 3D OFF
 ON GRAPH SET VZERO ON
 ON GRAPH SET GRID ON
 ON GRAPH SET GRAPHSTYLE *
  setDisplay(getStackConnectLine(),true);
  setPlace(true);
 ENDSTYLE
 ON GRAPH PCHOLD FORMAT PNG
END

hmmm, I thought you meant a "trend line"
This used to exist but apparently has been moved to Visual Discovery.
Maybe there are other graph properties not used in DS.

"interpolation", "trend line", "connecting dots" are 3 very different things. helps if you carefully pick your words. interpolation is the creation of a value, between others,where no value exists.
