I'd recommend turning on client traces when running the links to see if you can spot something obvious. Short of that, I'd open a case with IBI Tech Support.
I tried to make changes TRACE=ON and specified Trace location on ibiweb.cfg and recylcled my application server. But trace files are not getting generated. That is my another problem.
Your problem appears to be with the client. So turn client traces on. The link is: http://webserver/ibi_apps/console/webfocusconsole.jsp Go to the Diagnostics/WFServlet section, turn on the client traces from there, and run one of your links that fails. Then do a refresh from the Client console and you will see your traces files. Physically they are stored in directory /WebFOCUS/ibi/webfocus/logs or whatever your path is to get to the webfocus/logs directory.
We are using our company own application server and where we installed WF client and with that environment/setup client console is not bringing up for last few years.
Our usual process is to get into that client directories and change the configuration files like cgivars.wfs , site.wfs etc though it is not advisable and will boune the app server.
We tried to change ibiweb.cfg file to enable client trace. But it didn't work.
I tried to directly enable TRACE=ON and specifiled location. Also recycled my app server. But no trace files are getting generated. does it mean it is not referring my ibiweb.cfg file ? Any idea why traces are not generated? am I missing configurations somewhere ?
